Del fondo del incesante bombardeo de trillados villancicos navideños, sale a la luz Dianne Reeves con la canción previamente presentada: “Christmas Time is Here”
Esa canción, pero con otra interpretación, fue la presentación de uno de los capítulos más populares de “Peanuts”: “Feliz Navidad, Charly Brown”. La canción, acompañaba la inagotable búsqueda de Charly Brown por el verdadero significado de la navidad, y a Snoopy deslizándose por la nieve, suavemente, con los ojos cerrados, apuntando su pequeña nariz al cielo. Yo quedé encantada con el piano y las imágenes que corrían al tiempo de la melodía, pero con la versión de doña Reeves quedé atónita ante la infinidad de cosas rescatables partiendo por la magna voz de la cual ella es poseedora. Adaptaciones distintas para una atractiva canción: una casi celestial (la de la serie animada), la otra para cantarla fervorozamente… yo me quedo con las dos.
